В эту поделку я, признаться, не врубился до сих пор. Или она так плоха, или так нетипична для команды, уж не знаю. Но попытки переслушать её заканчиваются плачевно.

Однажды напился и написал "рецензию-фантазию". Копипаста:
Feifnir the Beastslayer was walking down a dusty winding road towards a small village. He could barely remember when he started his quest, he did not know for how long he'd been wandering through the picturesque landscapes of Armadia. His faithful sword, clad in old leather sheath dappled with cracks, thumped at his thigh each time he made a stride. The warm setting sun was throwing ruby and golden rays through rich foliage on his mighty shoulders and a bush of long black hair. Being a man from south, Feifnir truly enjoyed swift-passing yet cherishing summers in these harsh northern regions. The village was scarcely two dozen shacks, with a shanty of a tavern rearing over greyish thatched roofs. Feifnir approached the inn, shook the dust off his heavy riveted boots and pushed the door to submerge into damp cool shade. The Beastslayer was used to the people's attention wherever he went, and this time was no exception: a dozen of locals, ragged and rumpled peasants, turned their heads simultaneously towards the shapely tall figure of the wanderer. As he moved on towards the bartender, he heard suppressed murmurs: "The Beastslayer, the Beastslayer"; that tattoo on his face didn't let him hide his occupation and fame wherever he went. "In here for the trolls, eh?" - asked the one-eyed tapster sneering at the gold piece thrown by the Beastslayer on the counter, - " 'Tis the right place then, I tell you. The trolls are running wild in these lands these days. I remember the days long gone, when you could easily walk at night wherever you wished in the Great Forest and the scariest thing about the woods were the will-of-the-wisp or some harmless grey ghouls running away at sight of a man. We were a prosperous and blooming village, you know - before the trolls came. Since then everything has changed greatly. Well, you surely know it all without my stories, the Beastslayer. Those rusty scimitars, spiked clubs, eyes red as coals gleaming in the dark, hawky claws ready to carve, fangs ready to maul, foam at their mouths... Surely, there's no beast more dangerous and hateful to humans than these northern trolls. Better lock your doors and hide away as soon as the night falls: these ugly creatures are merciless and spare nor child neither old man. See this patch on my eye? I'm one of the lucky ones, I got out of the forest alive, but..." "Save your stories for wenches, cripple!", the Beastslayer interrupted, finishing his pint of poor watery beer. "I have no time for scary tales, I've got my work to do. The sun is setting, and at dusk off I go. There's been no troll or living beast who could oppose the sword of Feifnir the Bestslayer, the son of Fafnir the Mighty!" He opened the door and stepped over. The sun has almost dawned, and the damp cool nightfall was ready to embrace the gloomy village, houses, shacks and trees. Thick milky fog started closing down on Armadian forests and ravines, the villagers were preparing for another fearful night hurriedly closing shutters and doors. The Bestslayer started on his way towards the Great Forest, and for a moment he could swear that he saw a dozen of baleful red eyes in the thicket, eyes gleaming with primal rage and hate.

Что хотелось бы сказать по поводу услышанного? Первый — долбит, и показался наиболее близким к оригиналу, как ни странно; от второго как от переделки чуть ли не лучшей вещи зоомагазинных мальчиков ожида большего, но юморно получилос; а вот третья вещь плющит и таращит. Я считаю, что каверы надо делать именно так — чтобы оригинал узнавался с трудом и в то же время без сомнений. Однозначно, эта вещь своей компанией оправдала бы и более бездарные бонусы.

Я не знаю кому, что, как, почему, но, слушая Solsagan, мне хочется выдавить себе глаза. Просто так. Это я к тому, что альбом великолепный, ради бога, поймите меня правильно.

Да что тут понимать: во время прослушивания альбома тебе настолько хочется перепоручить мировосприятие лишь слуховым рецепторам, что ты готов демонтировать отъедающие ресурсы примочки, типа зрения. Руки-ноги-штопор отвинтить хочется, не? :-D

ололо, сейчас расчухал, что в кавере на Зоомагазинных посанчиков оригинальный текст "Because you dance to disco, and you don't like rock" заменё на "Because you dance to disco, and you don't like Finntroll". Вин.

Прихожу к выводу, что это самый лучший и самый зрелый и систематичный альбом группы. И потому боюсь следующего релиза, а вдруг как говно. Кстати, любовь вот к этому заставила меня нехило полюбить и предшественника, которого вообще все разносят на чем свет стоит. Надеюсь, что группа в дальнейшем продолжит сопоставимо взрослеть в рамках своего стиля
